Kupwara: Drug awareness program was organised jointly by Kashmir servers foundation & kashmir youth web in Collaboration with J&K police at Chandigam Lolab on Tuesday.

The event was organised with an aim to raise awareness about drug addiction among the youth and have a better understanding of the views of the younger generation.

Scores of students from different schools participated in the debate and spoke on ‘drug addiction and social evils associated with it’.

Experts also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the ill-effects of drugs. They enlightened the audience on how drug addiction leads to miseries of both the user and his or her family which ultimately has a telling effect on the society.

The event was attended by DDC sogam Nasir lone, Dysp Sogam Aijaz Ahamed, Sajid yousf shah president All J&K youth society, Mufti Shafi Makki & Yana mir founder of Real kashmir news, Mohammad Amin Khan. Vice Chairman Teachers Forum/ District president EJAC. Ali Mohammad Bhat Principal Hr Secondary Sogam, Zahoor Ahmad Bhat zonal president Teachers Forum Sogam.

Kashmir servers foundation & kashmir youth web in Collaboration with J&K police organised drug awareness program at Chandigam Lolab.

On the occasion Talking to media DDC sogam said that I appreciate the role played by these NGO,s for celebrating such occasions.He further said Govt is also trying to engage our youth in different sports activities so as to prevent drug addiction.

Rifat wani founder of Kashmir server’s foundation while talking to media said in future we will also organise such events in other locations and it’s the need of hour to wake up and fight for this big challenge as drug minance in the valley has increased and reached to danger mark.

At the end awards were also felicitated amoung students, guests,and Volunteers.
