Encounter breaks out in Kulgam.

Kulgam, Nov 17 : A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Pombai village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.

Official sources told the news agency–Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a joint team of Army’s 9RR, CRPF and Police launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Pombai village of Kulgam.

“The contact was established with the hiding militants after forces cordoned off the area,” they said.

The number of militants trapped in the area was not immediately known–(KNO)
