Dr Syed Ishfaq Bukhari son of Mr. Syed Mohammad Ashraf Bukhari born on 18th of May 1985 in the lower middle class family at sogam village of lolab valley of district Kupwara. He did his early schooling from his native village.
Dr Ishfaq Bukhari did his graduation from GDC Kupwara in humanities and post graduation in Education from Kashmir University.
He cherished his goal to become teacher at higher education level during college days.
After completing post graduation, he joined GDC Kupwara as lecturer on contractual basis. By the time he did his B. Ed from distance Education of Kashmir University.
After two and half year service as contractual lecturer he left the job for Pursuing M. Phil in Education and joined Lovely Professional University for the same.
Soon after appearing in final viva of M. Phil he qualified ugc exam for Junior research fellowship and became 2nd JRF candidate of Kashmir University in subject Education.
Dr Bukhari then joined kashmir university back for Doctorate in Education which he completed within minimum period of two years that became a record submission in the Education department of Kashmir University.
During doctoral degree he qualified SET exam and became the first candidate in state with all the credentials like Ph. D, M. Phil. UGC- NET, JRF & SET in subject Education.
Dr. Syed worked in the deptt of education. Kashmir university for almost a year on contractual basis. He got appointed two times as generaline teacher and joined BHSS Tekipora lolab where he took a leading role for extra curricular activities like seminars, debates, magazines, meet the eminent alumnus programmes besides normal classroom teaching.
During the time after qualifying screening test he appeared in jkpsc interview and got selected as assistant professor in education at rank 2nd in higher education deptt and was posted in the same college GDC Kupwara. .
.This time he could not pay his services there for more than 20 days as he appeared in another interview in Kashmir university and got appointed as assistant professor in Distance Education Kashmir university.
Presently he is coordinating many programmes of DDE, KU viz: M. A Education, M. A Sociology, and Undergraduate.
Achievements and services:
Extension lectures in many higher educational institutions in and outside the state.
Participated and presented papers in many conferences of national and international level.
Member board of PG studies, deptt of education Kashmir university.
More than 10 research publications in journals of national and international repute with impact factors.
Authored two books on education. Viz: An introduction to education & Understanding Issues of contemporary Education.
He is a source of inspiration for youth in general and Kupwara in particular.
