The students, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Correspondent, said that the hostel facilities have not been provided to them after the shifting of the varsity to Ganderbal district.

“We come from far-flung areas of Kashmir and the university does not provide us the hostel facilities, so we have been forced to stay in the rented rooms outside the university,” a protesting student told KNO.

“Today was the day when we lost our beloved sister due to negligence of CUK authorities,” Spokesperson CUK Nadiya Rashid Naik said.

The students alleged that they have approached the CUK administration several times, but nothing has been done in this regard and demanded immediate steps with regard to providing hostel facilities to the students—(KNO)
