Kupwara: Director Urban Local Bodies Thursday made her maiden visit in the Kupwara district to review the construction work in the area.

During her visit in the area a public interaction programme was also organised.

During the visit Director Urban local bodies was accompanied by Municipal Council Chairman Riyaz Mir, Executive officer kupwara,ADC Kupwara and other officers from district administration.

Pertinent to mention that this is the first visit of Director Urban local bodies in the far flung areas of district Kupwara.

During her interaction with public at the town hall, she informed the unemployed youth of the district about the schemes.

Later the Director Urban local bodies also distributed the cheques among the identified beneficiaries under PMAY scheme, for the people to build their houses so that they could build their own house.

In a response to a question over the persistent traffic jam in the area she said that there is an urgent need for a parking zone in the area to get rid of the traffic jam adding to that she also said the areas also needs a dumping site for garbage and demands will be looked into.
