The event was attended by more than 100 local kashmiris incl. Members from Sikh Community as one of the authors was a Sikh girl from Srinagar namely Manpreet Kour. The other two authors were Ayieena Altaf from Baramulla and Sabahat Qayoom from Budgam.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Mr. P. K. Pole graced the event with his presence.
He encouraged all three authors and addured them of full administrative support and appreciated Vice President All JK Youth Society Miss Yana Mir for organizing such events.
He further added that our youth needs to engage more in reading books than on screen time, so our authors, especially. Women need to be encouraged to write.
Sikh leader Jagmohan Singh Raina, renowned veteran Kashmiri author Mr. GM Mir, President All JK youth society Sajid Yousuf, social activist Aijaz Kashani were among other chief guests present in the event.
Vice President All Jk Youth society Yana Mir said we organized this event to encourage Kashmiri writers esp. Women writers so that they can express their pent up.emotions through their books instead of getting into drug abuse and also so that Authors from Kashmir can be ome financially independent through royalties from their book sales and also shine as writers on national and international platforms.
She further added such youth empowering programs will continue through All JK youth society in future.
All three authors were awarded by Div. Com. And Organizers at the end of the program.
