DC Kupwara reviews progress of ongoing developmental works under RDD.

KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 7: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today convened a meeting of all concerned officers to review the progress of ongoing developmental works under various Rural Development schemes including MGNREGA, PMAY, ADF and Aadhaar seeding.

Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to work with added dedication and ensure completion of all ongoing developmental works within the stipulated timeframe. He stressed upon them to ensure proper awareness among PRIs about the Panchayati Raj Act to ensure good governance prevails at grass root level.
He directed the officers for proper examination of the works plan in Gram Sabha for smooth development of rural areas.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to submit the status of individual cases under PMAY for their proper assessment.
It was informed in the meeting that Aadhaar of 81195 beneficiaries have been confirmed.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers for cent percent Aadhaar seeding of accounts of the beneficiaries to ensure timely Aadhaar based payments.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress under Natural Resource Management and was informed that 63.13% expenditure consisting of Rs.5883.57 lakh have been incurred against completion of 3278 works.

Regarding Geo-tagging of works, it was informed that 11662 works have been accepted under MGNREGA.
ACD Kupwara, BDOs, DFOs, and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
