COVID-19: J&K reports 245 fresh cases, no death in last 24 hours.

Sgr reports 32 cases; Case tally at 451,016 death toll mounts to 4,745,active cases reach to 4,903, recovery rate reaches to 97.86.

Srinagar, Feb 14 : Jammu and Kashmir Monday reported 245 fresh cases pushing the number of active cases to 4,903 while no death was reported in last 24 hours in the UT.

With no more deaths, the death toll in J&K stands at 4,745 and 245 fresh positive cases reported on Monday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 451,016.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 245 new cases, 85 belong to Kashmir division while as 160 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 286,352 including 281,135 recoveries and 2,422 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 164,664 including 160,233 recoveries and 2,323 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 4,903 including 2,795 from Kashmir division and 2,108 from Jammu division.

With 808 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 441,368 which is 97.86 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 32 from Srinagar, 10 from Baramulla, 12 from Budgam, 02 from Pulwama, 16 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 04 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 05 from Kulgam and 02 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 160 from Jammu division include 38 from Jammu district, 04 from Udhampur, 08 from Rajouri, 65 from Doda, 02 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 27 from Ramban and 14 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.

As per officials figures, 101,870 positive cases including 907 deaths and 99,695 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,501 including 304 deaths and 36,851 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,715 including 34,338 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,400 including 18,121 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,635 including 174 deaths and 21,174 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,390 including 21,995 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,633 cases including 13,253 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,614 including 13,426 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,291 including 16,133 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,303 including 6,149 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.

In Jammu division, 75,445 including 73,276 recoveries and 1,222 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,673 including 14,466 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,768 including 12,466 recoveries and 248 deaths are from Rajouri, 11,139 including 10,480 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,322 including 11,034 recoveries and 166 deaths are from Kathua, 9,059 including 8,865 recoveries and 125 deaths are from Samba, 5,829 including 5,745 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,712 including 7,537 recoveries and 109 deaths are from Poonch, 8,030 including 7,789 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,687 including 8,574 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.

As per the daily information bulletin 5,978,842 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 31,499 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 4,903 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 5,496,332 persons have completed the surveillance period and 441,363 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 22,410,853 samples are available. Out of 22,410,853 the number of samples tested negative stands at 21,959,837 while as 451,016 have tested positive, among them 4,903 persons are active, 441,368 persons have recovered and 4,745 persons have died—(KNO)
