Police conducts market checking in Diver Lolab

Kupwara : In order to ensure a check on black marketing, a team of police officials under the supervision of DySP Sogam Aijaz Ahmad Monday conducted market inspection at Diver town in Lolab Valley.

SHO Lalpora Muhstaq Ahmad headed the team of officials. The shopkeepers, vegetable and fruit vendors were warned not to sell the essential items on exorbitant rates. The vendors were asked to strictly adhere to the approved rate list.

BDC Nigeena also accompanied the team during hours long inspection. The police team also checked the expiry of food and other items.

The locals thanked police for the much needed drive in holy month of Ramadhan and hoped such inspection will be held in future too.
