Dr. Amir Bashir Author of the book “The Agony” Hails from Downtown locality of Srinagar Kashmir.
He is graduated from Amar Singh College, in English literature. He has done his M.A in English from
University of Kashmir in 2013.
Amir Bashir has also qualified NET/JKSET in the same subject and
has recently completed his PhD from Malwanchal University Indore. His area of specialization is
Trauma Studies, besides he is interested in translation studies also Dr. Amir Bashir has written several Research articles in various national as well as International Journal. He has also presented
his research papers in various National & International Seminars & Conferences.
The basis of the book “The Agony” is his research area & an experience of
real – life situations, which has prompted him to tranquilize his feelings into the expression of the
poems he wrote in his book (The Agony). This book is about expression of Trauma & Culture of
living a life of depression desperation, hopeless thoughts & aloofness.
The book is psychological display of human experiences. These poems are entwined between the impression of an experience
of mind & Body.
The poems have ceased to be an expression of personal – self and represents the
appearance of human behavior while they happen to be a victim of various types of traumas.
There is a depiction of personal, social and psychological traumas through the poems which have been
painted with, it’s canvas of emotions breamed with the bizarre incidents of life and self.
