Militants open fire at police vehicle in Srinagar’s Allochibagh: Police say no damage or injury reported, CASO launched

Militants on Wednesday evening fired upon a police vehicle in Allochibagh area of Srinagar, however, no casualty was reported in the incident, police said here.

Kashmir zone police, as per the news agency on its official Twitter handle informed that the fire was effectively retaliated, while militants took advantage of the darkness and ran towards built up area.

Police added that a cordon and search operation has been launched in the area.

“In Allochibagh bund area of Srinagar, terrorists fired upon a vehicle bound small police party. This was effectively retaliated by the police party. Terrorists took advantage of darkness & ran away towards built up area. No injury or other damage took place. CASO launched in area,” police tweeted—(KNO)
