DC Srinagar reviews sector wise physical/financial progress under District Capex

Asks departments to accelerate pace of works in view of the limited working season

To review the physical and financial status of the works taken up under District Capex Plan 2022-23 in the District, a meeting of all Sectoral/District Officers was held under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.

Besides, Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Zahoor Ahmad Mir and Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Yaseen Lone, the meeting was attended by all District/Sectoral Officers, Engineers and other concerned.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of funds released and expenditure under R&B, PHE, Education, Health, RDD PMGSY, NRLM, ICDS and other sectors, besides progress of works taken up under DDC, BDC and PRI grants were also discussed in threadbare.

The DC after taking sector wise review of all works directed the officers to ensure 100 percent expenditure in the set time line by accelerating the pace of the works scheduled for completion during current year. He directed the officers to work in coordinated manner with line departments to achieve development goals well in time keeping in view the limited working season.

The DC also exhorted for mobilizing men and machinery for completing the projects being implemented in the larger interest of the public in stipulated time frame besides urged to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources.

On the occasion, the DC was apprised that under District Capex, total 523 works were taken up out of which 119 works have been completed while rest of works are going on.

Similarly, under Centrally Sponsored Schemes, 173 works were taken up out of which 44 works were completed. While 17 works taken up under NABARD sector one is completed and remaining works are being carried out in the District.

The DC was further informed that against the approved funds allocation of Funds expenditure has been made so far by achieving 36% percent of the target for year 2022-23. Regarding works under Area Development Plan, ACD informed the meeting forum that 90% works shall be completed by October end. Similarly,

Similarly, under NRLM, 98 percent, ICDS/Mid day meals over 90% and JJM, 71%, target has been achieved in the District so far.
