Awareness Camps held in various colleges under SVEEP in Kupwara

On the directions of District Election Officer (DEO), Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray, awareness camps under Systematic Voter Education & Electoral Programme (SVEEP) were today organized in various Government Degree Colleges (GDCs) to provide awareness to the youth for getting registered in electoral rolls.

At Government Degree College Kupwara, awareness camp was organized in the Auditorium Hall of the College in which a large number of students participated.

Dy. DEO Kupwara, Mehraj-u-din Wani; College Principal and Faculty Members were present on the occasion.

During the camp, the experts including Master Trainers provided detailed awareness to the students about the benefits of getting enrolled in the electoral rolls.

On the occasion, 10 students were nominated from the College as Campus Ambassadors and were guided by Election staff about the procedure for getting registered as a voter through filing of Form 6. These ambassadors will further spread the awareness among other students of the College.

Meanwhile, the officers distributed Form 6 among the students.

Likewise, awareness camps were also held at GDC Women Salkoot, GDC Tangdar, GDC Handwara, GDC Vilgam, GDC Sogam, GDC Langate and GDC Kralpora.

During these camps, Campus Ambassadors were nominated from the respective colleges and were imparted necessary training about filing of Form-6 to get registered as a voter. Form 6 were distributed among the students on the occasion.
