Budgam: Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drugs from the society, Budgam Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
During patrolling at Peth Kanihama, police party of Police Station Magam intercepted one person roaming in suspicious condition, who on seeing the police party tried to flee from the spot but police party overpowered him tactfully. During search, 105 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. The arrested drug peddler was subsequently identified as:-
Faisal Hamid Bhat S/o Ab Hamid Bhat R/o Peth Kanihama Magam.
Case FIR number 162/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Magam & investigation taken up.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddler should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
