Govt of jammu and Kashmir has started its preparations for winter. Divisional Commissioner Kashmir had convened a meeting regarding winter preparedness by departments across Kashmir Division.
The authority is ready to use new machinery for snow clearance this years instead of crude snow clearance machinery. All the preparations must be done in advance which will save any future untoward incident by Snowfall. All decisions must be taken in letter and spirit, in order to accelerate coordination as it has been seen that during any heavy snowfall the lack of coordination among various departments dealing with crisis halts the work on ground. Electricty and supply should be speedily accelerated . All the departments – Power department , Roads , Food and supplies must review their earlier performances and take appropriate steps to deal with crisis .
