Drug peddler arrested in Ganderbal, contraband substance recovered from his possession

To eradicate the menace of drug abuse prevalent in the society, Ganderbal Police continues its strict action against the drug peddlers. Today a notorious drug Peddler was apprehended with Contraband Substance at Zazuna under the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora.

During Patrolling, Police party led by DO Shadipora under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal tactfully apprehended the accused. During his personal search, Contraband Substance Codeine Phosphate Bottles were recovered and seized on spot. The accused was arrested who on questioning disclosed his identity as Shahijahan Parra S/O. Nazir Ahmad Parra R/O Zazuna.

In this regard, Case FIR No. 328/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Ganderbal, and further investigation has been taken up.

Ganderbal Police is committed to eradicate the deadly menace of Drugs from the District and such action will continue in future. General public is requested to co-operate with Police by way of sharing inputs related to drug peddling so that appropriate action can be initiated under law.
