DC B’gam chairs Zila Sainik Welfare Board meeting

BUDGAM : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, S F Hamid  today chaired a meeting of Zila Sainik Welfare Board and reviewed implementation of schemes meant for welfare of ex-servicemen.

Secretary, Zila Sainik Welfare Board,  Rashid war gave a detailed presentation regarding functioning of the Board and highlighted welfare schemes implemented by Kendriya Sainik Board and Rajya Sainik Board for Ex-servicemen, Veer Naaris/ War Widows/ Veterans, War Disabled, Orphans, gallantry award winner and Non-pensioner Ex-servicemen/ Widows.

The Ex-servicemen present in the meeting highlighted issues of their concern and sought intervention of the district administration for early redressal of the same.

DC called upon the Board to hold meetings so that redressal of issues can be ensured in a time bound manner.

He directed the Nodal Officer for organizing  meetings at district level to update ex-serviceman with the latest schemes of the board.

DC assured them of every help from district administration in redressing their issues and directed the concerned officers to resolve their genuine demands at the earliest.

Among others, CMO, CEO, Executive Engineer R&B Division, Dy SP Operations, non-Official Members/Special Invitee and staff of Zila Sainik Welfare Office besides other concerned officers / officials were present in the meeting
