The advancement in technology has been a boon for finding employment, from the advent of job-search sites to the ability to e-mail your resume for immediate attention. But despite advancements, nothing beats person-to-person contact for making an impression. For this, job fairs (Rozgar Mela ) are great for unemployed youth. These events allow you a chance to make an impression, which can be especially important if you lack job experience. Jammu and kashmir doesn’t have viable extention of corporate sector , hence youth become jobless in UT . Now the govt has taken several steps to engage organizations and companies in job fairs . 20 companies hold job recruitment in srinagar today to provide employment to 500 youth in kashmir.

In 2022 Govt came up with The Rozgar Mela which is an initiative of the central government to provide employment opportunities to the youth of the country.
Under the Rozgar Mela Scheme, 10 lakh jobs will be available for candidates to apply in Group A and B Gazetted Posts, Group B Non-Gazetted and Group C Non-Gazetted posts.
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) would also fill a significant number of posts in various Central Armed Police Forces.

However Jammu and kashmir needs a special attention and tie up should be made with more companies to conduct recruitment melas in kashmir .
