PS Vilgam arrests one peddler, narcotics recovered

Handwara : Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police arrested one peddler and recovered narcotics in Vilgam area.

Today on April 19, 2023, a police party of Police Station Vilgam, while on naka duty at Sumo stand Vilgam, apprehended one person who had attempted to avoid the police party in a suspicious manner.

On search, around 30 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. The person has been identified as Basharat Ahmad Tantray S/o Bashir Ahmad R/o Dahama

In relation to this, FIR No.38/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act registered in PS Vilgam and investigation initiated.
