Police Post Chogul arrests one peddler, narcotics recovered

Handwara : Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police arrested one peddler and recovered narcotics in Chogul area.

On May 04, 2023, a police party of Police Post Chogul, while on naka duty at Badshah Khan on Sopore-Kupwara highway, apprehended one person who had attempted to avoid the police party in a suspicious manner.

On search, around 70 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. The person has been identified as Irshad Ahmad Sheikh @Nadeem S/o Gh Mohammad R/o Maidan Chogul

In relation to this, FIR No.101/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act registered in PS Handwara and investigation initiated.
