Several officers of District Administration Kupwara undertake field visits

KUPWARA : On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray, various officers including SDM Karnah, Revenue Officers, Horticulture/Agriculture Officers and field staff today visited various rain/hailstorm affected areas of the district for assessment of the damages caused to the orchards.

SDM Karnah conducted an extensive tour of the village Nawagabra, Churkungi to take stock of the position due to inclement weather. He also interacted with local people and inspected educational institutions in the area.

The Chief Horticulture Officer visited various areas including Gugloosa and Shumnag for assessment of damages caused to the recent hailstorm in the villages.

It is important to mention that Deputy Commissioner Kupwara has already directed Tehsildars, Revenue officials and field functionaries to visit their respective areas and assess the losses occurred to agriculture/ horticulture fields and other properties due to heavy rainfall and hailstorm in the district and directed them to furnish the report within three days for further process.

He advised them to be a continuous learner and try to learn new methods, techniques and innovative skills, and ideas required for performing duties in an excellent manner.

The CEO said that they must have the ability to seek co-operation of juniors and equal ability to cooperate with seniors and superiors besides, be an epitome of patience and tolerance, and motivate juniors for doing smart work or for performing some duties up to the satisfaction.
