NYKS organises District Level Yuva Utsav at BHSS Budgam

DDC Chairman emphasizes on education, awareness & Youth empowerment

BUDGAM : Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangthan (NYKS) Budgam, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Govt. of India today organised District Level Yuva Utsav -India @2047 in collaboration with Boys Higher Secondary School Budgam with the theme of Panch Pran of Amrit Kaal within the school premises.

Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan was the chief guest, and Ex. Coordinator NYKS, Abdul Ahad Mir and Principal BHSS Rajinder Kour were the guests of honour.

More than 250 boys and girls participated in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DDC said that we as society should work together to keep our youth away from drugs and give more emphasis to education.

He appreciated the youth of Budgam and expressed hope that NYKS would organise more such fruitful programmes in future.

On the occasion, Ex. Coordinator NYKS said that there is no dearth of talent among youth in Budgam but they need a platform and opportunities.

Principal BHSS appreciated the youth for showing excellence and expressed hope for the same zeal, enthusiasm and dedication in the future.

Many resource persons from different departments like Employment, Horticulture, JKEDI, Agriculture, Health, Lead Bank and Social Welfare delivered lectures on the occasion.

Six different events like Young Artist Camp-Painting, Young Writers Contest-Poetry, Photography Contest & Workshop, Declamation Contest and Cultural events were held during the day-long programme.

Lastly, prizes and certificates were distributed among the winners and runner-ups and also mementos were distributed among district/ sectoral officers.
