DLSA Ganderbal observes Awareness programme on ‘World Environment Day’

GANDERBAL : The District Legal Services Authority, (DLSA) Ganderbal today organised an Awareness Programme to observe ‘World Environment Day’, at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal.

The programme was held under the supervision of Chairman DLSA Ganderbal, Ritesh Kumar Dubey and under the guidance of Secretary DLSA Ganderbal, Nusrat Ali Hakak.

This programme promoted awareness and action for the environment and encouraged people to take part in protecting our planet. This year the theme was ‘Ecosystem Restoration’, which highlights the need to ensure the sustainable use of natural resources for healthy living.

Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Qazi Fozia, emphasized that in today’s rapidly growing world, the environment is under severe threat. She said our environment is our responsibility, and if we fail to take care of it, we will face disastrous consequences. She further highlighted that we should create awareness in our community to make our surroundings greener.

The DLSA Ganderbal initiative was aimed to encourage people to adopt eco-friendly practices, protect the natural resources, and promote environmental sustainability. The event emphasized the importance of reducing our carbon footprint, recycling, and using renewable energy sources for a healthy and sustainable future.

Various speakers participated in the programme and highlighted the importance of taking action against environmental issues and insisted participants make concerted efforts towards sustainable solutions. They emphasized the gravity of the situation and stressed the need for everyone to take responsibility and play their part in creating a more eco-friendly world.

Students of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal also participated actively in the programme.

The event was attended by Advocate Qazi Fozia, principal, teachers, staff members & students of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal, officials from Education Department, PLVs of District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbal.
