DC Shopian finalises Action Plan for impactful celebrations of ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign

SHOPIAN : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb today chaired a meeting to finalise the arrangements for the impactful conduct of the ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign in the district.

At the outset, participants were briefed in detail about the activities planned under the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign including Deep Dive-Silaphalakam, Vasudha Vandhan, Veeron Ka Vandan, hoisting of National Flag, singing of Rashtra Gaan and Panch Pran Pledge besides other activities.

It was shared that as part of the programme, memorial plaques have been placed across panchayats and wards of MCs to honor the national heroes of the country who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of the nation.

Under Vasudha Vandan, concerned intimated that planting of at least 75 saplings in each Panchayat and ward of the district have been made available with concerned departments, besides all other arrangements for celebrations have also been done.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) online uploading competitions and JJM Fortnight activities and asked concerned to expedite and organise successful activities and complete IEC activities on time.

The DC urged all concerned departments to ensure successful observance of the ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ programme while highlighting its importance. He said that the campaign aims to foster a sense of unity and pride across all sections of society, celebrating India’s rich heritage and patriotic spirit.

The meeting was attended by all concerned district officers.
