Thousands of People participate in Mega Tiranga rally held at Kupwara, Shilaphalkam unveiled at Fountain Chowk Kupwara

Kupwara : Under “Meri Mati, Mera Desh”Campaign and it’s Tagline “Mitti Ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan” a massive Tiranga rally was held Monday evening. Tiranga Rally started from DC office Complex and culminated near Fountain Chowk Kupwara.

Thousands of Participants, carrying National flags amind sining of National anthem and patriotic songs marched through the Bye-Paas Kupwara and reached Fountain Chowk Kupwara. Chairman DDC, Irfan Panditpori, VC DDC Haji Farooq, The Deputy Commisioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, SSP Kupwara, Yougal Manas, president Kupwara Municipality, Reyaz Ahmad Mir, ADC Handwara, Gh. Nabi Bhat, other officers of District Adminstration, PRIs, and local residents participated in the massive rally.
On reaching near Fountain Chowk Kupwara, ‘Shilaphalakam’ (Memorial plaque) was unveiled and dedicated in the name of 126 Martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
DC Kupwara while remembering the sacrifices made by bravehearts paid rich tributes to them.
Participants of the rally also took the Panch Pran pledge
Shilaphalkam has been installed by Municipal Committee Kupwara.
