DC Kupwara conducts day-long extensive tour of Tangdar, Teetwal, Chairs meeting, Interacts with PRIs, Locals

Kupwara : The Deputy Commisioner(DC) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan ( IAS) on Friday conducted an extensive tour of Karnah Sub Division Where she held meeting with PRIs, Revenue authorities and other stake holders for finalizing alignment of RT- TC four lane Highway and visited Sharda Mata temple at Teetwal.

On reaching Tandgdhar, the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, chaired a meeting which was attended by SSP Kupwara Yogal Manas, SDM Karnah Dr Gulzar Rather, Tehsildar Karnah Eyad Qadri, PRIs including Chairman BDC tangdar Reyaz Ahmad, Chairperson BDC Teetwal, Nawshada Akhtar, Representive of civil society and Bopar Mandal Tangdar.

In the joint meeting, convened by the Deputy Commisioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan, all the three options proposed for alignment of 4 lane National Highway Rafiabad-Trehgqm- Trehgam-Chamkote (RT-TC) were discussed threadbare with the stakeholders.
The DC appreciated PRIs and Members of civil society for their positive outlook and contributions towards developmental initiatives. She directed Tehsildar Karnah to submit a comprehensive report with recommendation in consultation with the technical experts and other stakeholders so that alignment of this important road project is finalized without any further delay.

The Deputy Commissioner interacted with the local residents on development issues and attended various delegations and patiently listened to their demands and issued on spot instructions to the concerned officers.

The Deputy Commissioner also visited Sharada Temple at LOC Teetwal and took review of infrastructural projects undertaken at Teetwal (which is located close to Zero Line ) to promote Boarder Tourism.
At Teetwal, the Deputy Commissioner was invited as the chief guest to the final Match of Shardha Invitation Cricket Tournament where she distributed prizes among the players. She also expressed her gratitude to the cricket teams of NCR Delhi which participated in the tournament. On the occasion she opined that Teetwal has a rich history and huge potential for Border tourism.
