Fact Check | Video Alleging DySP Adil Mushtaq’s Involvement in Kokernag Incident Is False: Police

It has been brought to our attention that a video news item, allegedly released by a news agency named Bharat TAK, suggests that DYSP Adil Mushtaq is implicated in the Kokernag terror incident as an insider involved in betrayal. We want to clarify that there is no truth to this video news.

DySP Adil Mushtaq is currently under investigation for a completely unrelated case in Srinagar district, and not in Anantnag where the Kokernag incident occurred.

Labeling this type of journalism as “#irresponsible” and an “act of criminal misconduct,” ADGP Kashmir has stated that those responsible for such false reporting are liable for legal action.
