DC Bandipora chairs review meeting of R&B Department

Takes stock of Works, reviews performance; directs for timely completion of projects

BANDIPORA : In order to ensure the efficient execution of infrastructure development projects in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad Monday convened a review meeting with the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department.

The meeting was held to assess ongoing projects, evaluate progress, and strategize for future initiatives.

The meeting threadbare discussed and reviewed the status of ongoing infrastructure projects, including road construction, bridge development, and maintenance work. The officers of R&B presented a detailed progress report and achievements so far.

The challenges faced by the department in the execution of different works were also discussed during the meeting.

The DC stressed upon the importance of timely project completion and quality workmanship. The meeting also assessed performance metrics, and strategies were also discussed to address any bottlenecks affecting project timelines.

The meeting discussed the allocation of resources, including manpower and machinery, to expedite pending projects and maintain the existing infrastructure.

Dr. Owais urged the department to engage with concerned DDC and PRIs for effective future project planning.

Regarding the pending works, the DC called upon the concerned officers to fix responsibility of the contractor and serve show cause notice for unnecessary delays.

The DC further called upon the officers to execute all works under different schemes in a transparent and time bound manner.
