Kupwara CEO emphasizes importance of school committees in development

Srinagar : The Education Zone Mawer in North Kashmir organized a comprehensive awareness program at Middle School Qalamabad in Handwara on Tuesday, focusing on School Management and Development Committees (SMDC) and School Management Committees (SMC).

According to officials, this day-long event aimed to enlighten invited participants, including members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), about the vital roles of SMDC/SMC in the education system.

During the event, CEO Kupwara, Abdul Hamid Fani, and other officials from the department delivered an informative session shedding light on the intricacies of these educational programs. He emphasized the significance of such initiatives in enhancing the overall management and development of schools.

The CEO said they are organizing these events across the district, and there is a good response from the PRIs and schools as well. He mentioned that around 80 percent of PRIs participated in today’s event.

Those who attended the event were, BDC Mawer Tahir Ahmad Mir, Dupty Chief Officer Kupwara, Principal HSS Qaalmabad, Zonal Education Officer Mawer, J&K Teachers Forum Vice President and Head Master BMS Qaalmabad
