Tragic Fire Incident Claims Life of 12-Year-Old Handicapped Girl in Karnah Kupwara

KUPWARA :- In a heart-wrenching incident, a devastating fire broke out in a residential house belonging to Riyaz Hussain Shah of Bahadurkote, karnah, resulting in the death of  of a 12-year-old specially abled  girl.
The incident occurred on  the intervening night of October 18 and 19 around 2:00 pm.

The victim, identified as Kulsooma Fatima(12) D/O Riyaz Hussain Shah of Takiya Bahadurkote was unable to escape the blaze due to her physical limitations which added to the severity of the tragedy.

The fire quickly engulfed the house, making it difficult for the handicapped girl to exit, safely who was bed- ridden in the upper storey of the house which cought the fire, first.

Local of the village rushed to the site of the incident, fire service was also alerted promptly and dispatched to the scene. They worked together, tirelessly to extinguish the flames and prevent further damage to the nearby houses.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and authorities are conducting a thorough inquiry to ascertain the circumstances that led to this unfortunate incident.

The family of the victim and entire village is shell shocked  by the unimaginable loss. The affected   family is very poor and  is in dire need of support from  the government and community members during this difficult time.

This tragic event has  served as a stark reminder of the importance of fire safety measures in far off areas.

Meanwhile Civil administration Karnah has urged upon locals of karnah to take necessary precautions during the ensuing winter to prevent such incidents.
