Srinagar : Director General of CRPF Dr. Sujoy Lal Thaosen and the Director General of Police, J&K Shri R. R Swain jointly chaired high level joint meeting of officers to review the overall security scenario of Kashmir valley at Police Control Room, Kashmir here this evening.

During the meeting detailed review of all the security arrangements for the winter season was held. The field officers briefed regarding various measures and counter measures taken for the security and safety of the people.

ADG CRPF Kashmir Shri Nalin Prabhat, ADGP Kashmir Zone Shri Vijay Kumar, IG BSF Ftr Hqrs Kashmir Shri Ashok Yadav, IG CRPF Kashmir Ops Sector Shri Gayendra Kumar Verma, IGP CRPF Srinagar (Ops) Sector, Shri Ajay Yadav, IGP Shri B K Virdhi, DIsG Shri Sujit Kumar, Shri Vivek Gupta, Shri Rayees Mohammad Bhat, DIG SSB Kashmir, Shri H.B K Singh, DIG CRPF North Srinagar Shri Sudhir Kumar, DIG CRPF South Srinagar Shri K.S Deswal, DIG CRPF Baramulla Shri R.S Rawat, DIG CRPF South Kashmir Shri Alok Awasthi,
DIG RPF Shri K.K Ashraf, DIG CISF Shri Vertul Singh, SSP Srinagar, SSP PCR Kashmir and officers from intelligence attended the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, the DGP J&K Sh R R Swain stressed for augmenting and enhancing of capabilities to achieve the desired results. He directed for puting in use modern techno tools to monitor the security situation. He directed for launching the operations in higher reachs and flushing the hiding terrorists.

The DGP directed that Dail 112 helpline in Police Control Rooms be augmented further and added that it would be first respondent to any particular situation. Stressing for remaining more vigilant against terror support eco-system which helping terrorists to carry out their nefarious designs, the DGP directed for putting in utmost efforts in monitoring the moments of suspect elements. He also stressed for coordinated efforts to demolish the OGW network, hybrid terrorists.

Shri R.R Swain directed the forces to maintain pressure on anti peace elements so that terror groups don’t get any chance of revival. The DGP impressed upon the officers, to work out strategies to further consolidate peace in Jammu Kashmir. The DGP said that we have all time low active terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir and cautioned that there would be attempts to create disturbance here. He directed for joint training for personnel to tackle the law and order situations.

During the meeting threadbare discussions were held on issues related to terrorism that included presence of foreign & local terrorists in higher reaches and their attempts to come down during the winter. Continued infiltration attempts from across the border and measures taken to deter all such attempts were also discussed. Threadbare discussions were also held on creation of database of uncategorised terrorists. Besides Capacity Building, improving communication between forces to take synergy between forces to next level, and sharing of intelligence for gaining better operational results were also discussed coordination.

The officers present in the meeting gave suggestion regarding anti-terror operations and for strengthening peace further in J&K.
In the evening DGP J&K Sh R R Swain visited Police Station Mirbazar where he inspected different sections of the Station.DIG SKR Sh Rayees Mohammad Bhat,
SSP Anantnag Sh.G.V Sandeep Chakraborty,SSP Sh Sahil Sangral and SSP NHW44 Sh Rohit Baskotea were present during the inspection.
