Training programme on B2V-5 conducted at Kupwara

KUPWARA : The District Administration Kupwara today organized a training programme for Visiting/ Prabhari Officers deputed for Back to Village Phase-V (B2V5) at Town Hall Kupwara.

Training programme was presided over by ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan.

As many as 129 Visiting Officers from 129 Panchayats of 24 Blocks of Kupwara district under (Phase first) today attended the training programme.

Highlighting the objectives of ‘Back to Village’-V programme, the ADDC said that Visiting Officers are the Mentors for their respective panchayats acting as a bridge between the public and the government.

He maintained that Visiting Officers mandatorily have to ensure that all the specified deliverables have to be achieved in the panchayats without any failure.

ADDC instructed Visiting Officers to saturate centrally sponsored schemes and self-employment schemes, register unemployed youth during Gram Sabhas, aware people about e-services available, inspect public works, assess their quality and submit observations.

The ADDC encouraged Visiting Officers to take feedback on digital services and other recent developments in providing door step governance.

ADDC asked the officers to listen and engage with the local community, understand local issues, understand the specific challenges and issues faced by the village, such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and agriculture and collaborate with local authorities, and prioritise transparency and accountability and ensure that all sections of the community, including marginalized groups, are involved and they get benefited from the development projects.

Master trainers, (District Resource Persons) CPO Kupwara, Abdul Majeed, ACD Kupwara Hilal Ahmad Mir, ACP Kupwara, Dr. Mudassir Ahmad and Assistant Director Planning, Gh.Nabi sensitized the Visiting Officers about their role, responsibilities and activities during the Back to Village- 5 programme.

They briefed the Visiting officers about the objective and salient features of the B2V-5 and asked them to strictly adhere to the prescribed guidelines of the programme.

During the interactive session, the participants raised various queries pertaining to the programme and Master Trainers cleared their doubts on-the-spot.

Pertinently, the fifth phase of the B2V-5 programme is commencing from 8th November.
