Health is wealth; smart is one who cares for himself or herself and, at the same time, cares for the health of his or her family. Health should always be a priority. Health has a great role in our day-to-day tasks. Eating all the time never keeps us healthy and fit. As we know, nature has bestowed on us a number of organs like the stomach, heart, liver, kidney, etc. Every single organ combines and makes a full-fledged organ system like the digestive system, circulatory system, excretory system, nervous system, Skelton system, etc. Every system has its role in our body and has great functions for our existence. We should never ignore any alarming symptom. You should go for regular check-ups, keep updated on your health-related issues, and leave the rest to the Almighty.
It is very unfortunate that people of tender age are having several health issues like stomach-aches, intestinal disorders, heart problems, kidney issues, liver-related problems, etc., as this is alarming for us all. The tendering age is considered the age where the young ones can enjoy all the food items, as they have ample capacity to consume by engaging themselves in a number of activities. Immunity should be at its peak at this age.
One thing is clear: we have to keep our diet plan in a very proper and good manner to avoid health-related issues and keep our health fit and fine.
Every eatable has health benefits and is good for our health. During the making of different dishes at home, we use a number of items, like spices, green cardamom, black cardamom, cinnamon, clove, turmeric, chilli powder, salt, etc. Such spices we add for taste and have great health benefits.
Today in this article, I am going to explore the health benefits of one of the great and beneficial spices that is common, called dalcheen in the common language.
Cinnamon is extracted from the bark of a plant, used as a spice, and has great medicinal benefits as well.
Health benefits of cinnamon:
It contains antioxidants and has great health benefits. We should use it in our regular dishes and recommend it to our friends. Cinnamon is well known for its blood sugar-lowering properties. Apart from its beneficial effects on insulin resistance, cinnamon can lower blood sugar through several other mechanisms. Cinnamon protects against cancer as it contains antioxidants. It acts by reducing the growth of cancer cells and the formation of blood vessels in tumours, and it appears to be toxic to cancer cells. Cinnamon may protect us from fungal and bacterial infections, and cinnamaldehyde, one of the main active components of cinnamon, may be beneficial against various kinds of infections.
Cinnamon may contain antiviral properties as it is extracted from Cassia verities and is also beneficial for the HIV-1 common strain of HIV in humans. AIDS is actually caused by the virus known as HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), and AIDS stands for acquired immune deficiency syndrome. AIDS, or HIV virus, is a lethal virus caused by sexual intercourse with the infected partner. Cinnamon has great health benefits, as in Kashmir we are used to using cinnamon with dishes, and in Kashmiri Kahwa is one of the famous and traditional preparations of green tea. Some I have seen use cinnamon as a mouth freshener, as it contains a nice fragrance.
