Kupwara : Kala Utsav, a prestigious platform showcasing student talent in various artistic domains, has witnessed a remarkable achievement from Kupwara District in the ongoing 2023-24 edition. The district’s success can be attributed to the visionary leadership of Ab Hamid Fani, who assumed the role of Chief Education Officer, and ever since has been bringing about transformative changes.
Under the dynamic leadership of Ab Hamid Fani, Kupwara District made its mark in the previous year’s Kala Utsav, with one student securing a position at the District, Divisional, Union Territory (UT) and National levels. Building on this success, Kupwara District has achieved a significant milestone this year, with two students qualifying for the UT level competition.
The success of these students is not only a testament to their talent but also reflects the efforts of the educational leadership in the district. The pivotal role played by Manzoor Ah Bhat, the Deputy Chief Education Officer of Kupwara, in providing support and guidance has been instrumental in nurturing these young talents.
Rayees Masroor, the young and dedicated District Cultural Coordinator, played a crucial role in orchestrating this success. His Unwavering Commitment and Tireless efforts have resulted in the selection of two outstanding students for the UT level Kala Utsav competition – Saima Bano from High School Rengpath Zone Mawar for instrumental percussion activity and Towseef Ah Chaad from Zone Khumriyal for Folk dance.
The felicitation ceremony for these accomplished students is scheduled to take place on the 24th of November at Kothibagh, Srinagar. Principal Secretary of the School Education Department and Director of School Education will honor the duo for their exceptional achievements.
This accomplishment is the result of seamless coordination and collaboration among various stakeholders, including Zonal Cultural Coordinators, Cluster Heads, Teachers, and the dedicated support from the SAMAGRA section of the CEO Office Kupwara. The district takes pride in this achievement and looks forward to continued success in promoting and nurturing artistic talent among its students.
