Kupwara : In a heartwarming display of appreciation and camaraderie, the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum, under the leadership of District President Sahil Bashir, organized a splendid send-off for the outgoing Chief Education Officer, Abdul Hamid Fani, and a grand welcome function for the newly appointed Chief Education Officer, Abdul Majeed Dar.
The event, held at the meeting hall of the DC Office complex in Kupwara and was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including the Vice State President, Muneer Ah Khan, and Provincial President, Mohd Akbar Dar.
Principals, Zonal Education Officers, and district executive members were also present, adding to the significance of the occasion.
District President Sahil Bashir praised the impactful role played by the outgoing CEO, Fani, in shaping the educational landscape of the district. He warmly welcomed Ab Majeed Dar, expressing optimism for the district’s continued success under the new leadership. Leaders such as Muneer Ahmad Khan, Mohd Akbar Dar, and Reyaz Mahmood Kalgan commended Mr. Fani’s tenure, highlighting his leadership qualities.
Mir Fayaz acknowledged the Teachers Forum for effectively representing the genuine concerns of the teacher fraternity. Principal Mr. Mohd Iqbal Shah shared insights into Mr. Fani’s contributions, expecting continued excellence from the new CEO, Dar. Mohd Maqbool Lone, Zonal Education Officer Kupwara, praised Mr. Fani’s golden tenure.
Media fraternity’s District President lauded Fani as the Best CEO and expressed hope that Mr. Dar would follow the same path to uplift the education standards in the district.
Conducted by General Secretary Arshad Mouhdin, the event saw participation from various executive members, showcasing a united front in acknowledging the valuable contributions of Fani and expressing high hopes for the future under Dar’s leadership.
The occasion concluded with an optimistic outlook for the district’s educational journey, setting a positive tone for the transition between the outgoing and incoming Chief Education Officers.
