SE R&B Circle Kupwara takes review of snow clearance measures

KUPWARA : Superintendent Engineer (SE) R&B Kupwara, Ram Lal today chaired a meeting of all Executive Engineers and AEEs to review the snow clearance measures put in place by the department in the district.

On the occasion, the SE impressed upon the officers to work with enthusiasm and added dedication to tackle any situation in the event of snowfall. He asked them to gear up their men and machinery and maintain coordination with other departments and the general public so that no inconvenience is faced by them during snowfall.

The SE directed the officers to ensure that main roads and inner links are cleared of snow within 24 hours. He said that no road should remain closed due to snow accumulation beyond 24 hours.

During the meeting, the SE reviewed the availability of snow clearance machines, action plan prepared by the department to prevent interruption in service delivery during this winter season.

He impressed upon officers to prepare a comprehensive and meticulous snow clearance plan to avoid any inconvenience to people.

He called for better coordination in dealing with snow clearance operations and instructed officers for activation of control rooms at District, Sub Division and Tehsil headquarters.
