Beginning with an evaluation at the KPDCL workshop, the DC focused on fortifying the power supply network to ensure resilience in adverse weather conditions.

Simultaneously, Dr Basharat also conducted an in-depth inspection of healthcare facilities at District Hospital Pulwama and CHC Rajpora. The goal was to ensure the seamless availability of essential medical services, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to prioritizing the health and well-being of the residents.

The DC then traversed remote villages, including Inderwali/ Sangerwani, Abahama, Bagh, Khaigam, Ichgooze and Shadimarg, overseeing snow clearance operations and evaluating the delivery of essential services. Notably, in the challenging terrain of Achgoza, Sangerwani, efficient snow clearance efforts enabled the restoration of road connectivity despite substantial snow accumulation.

Expressing satisfaction with the stock levels of essential commodities, including LPG and ration, DC directed line departments to operate efficiently, ensuring an uninterrupted supply. Emphasizing prompt services, he instructed departments to address emergency demands with utmost preparedness and conduct regular market checks to curb price hikes and illegal stocking.

During interactions with locals, the DC actively sought feedback on the delivery of essential services to these remote villages, demonstrating a commitment to community engagement. Officials informed him about several challenges, to which he provided on-the-spot directions for resolutions.
