DGP sanctions financial assistance for wards of police personnel

JAMMU: Continuing its efforts to provide financial assistance to the wards of martyr police personnel, SPOs, the Director General of Police R.R. Swain has sanctioned monthly financial assistance in favour of 20 wards of the police martyrs, under an order issued by Police Headquarters.

Under this order, Rs nine thousand each has been sanctioned in favour of 18 wards and Rs three thousand each in favour two wards of martyr Police personnel, SPOs pursuing coaching programmes for IAS, JKAS exams organised by Mission Youth J&K. The financial assistance has been sanctioned out of J&K Police Pariwar Fund for the months of September, October and November 2023.

As per the order, AIG of Police (Welfare) shall transfer the amount to the staff officers to DIG Armed Kashmir, Jammu, nodal officers for mission youth for further disbursement to the beneficiaries.

“Providing financial assistance for the wards of police personnel, SPOs demonstrates the commitment of Jammu and Kashmir Police in ensuring the welfare and well-being of family members of police brave hearts. Further, it is aimed to enable the wards of our brave hearts to focus on their education and personal growth,” a statement said.
