Kupwara : Newly-posted Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Kamraj, Anurag Arya, IFS on Friday conducted an extensive tour of the South Lolab Range in Kupwara.
During the tour, the DFO inspected various ongoing development related works in Warnow, Kariwan, Divar and other places.
The newly-posted DFO inspected various parks in the Range and interacted with officials of the department and general public of South Lolab. The DFO Kamraj also planted saplings in Kariwan Diver.
During the interaction with Range officer Sogam, beat guards, Anurag Arya directed them for zero-tolerance against collection of timber wood and other illicit human activities in the forest area.
People of warnow while interacting with DFO appealed to him to construct trekking spots for promoting tourism in the area. The DFO assured the locals that the department will construct trekking routes only after a thorough analysis of the area.
