Srinagar : Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who was recently on a vacation with his family to Jammu and Kashmir has shared a video of his trip, saying it will remain a beautiful experience etched in “my memory”.
During his trip to Jammu and Kashmir, Tendulkar visited several places including famous ski resort Gulmarg, tourist hub Pahalgam, Srinagar’s Dal Lake, Aman Setu bridge in Uri etc.
Posting the video on his official X handle, the master blaster said that “Kashmir was so beautiful it spun my head round.”
“Jammu and Kashmir will remain a beautiful experience etched in my memory. There was snow all around but we felt warm because of people’s exceptional hospitality,” he said.
During his visit to Kashmir he also met Kashmir’s para cricketer Amir, by whose cricketing skills Tendulkar had promised to meet him one day. He also gifted a bat with his autograph to Amir and also met his family.
“PM Modi said there is so much to see in our nation. Couldn’t agree more, especially after this trip,” Tendulkar wrote in his post on X.
The legendary cricketer also visited a bat manufacturing unit in south Kashmir and also had tea with his family at the house of bat factory unit owner’s home.
“The Kashmir Willow bats are great examples of ‘Make in India, Make for the World.’”
He also urged people to visit Jammu and Kashmir and experience one of the several jewels of “incredible India.”
“They have travelled across the globe, and now I recommend people across the globe, and India, to come and experience Jammu & Kashmir, one of the several jewels of @incredibleindia,” he said. (KNS)
