DC Bandipora reviews Poll Preparedness for Lok Sabha Elections-2024

Directs to ensure Free & Fair elections; stresses on SVEEP for better voter participation

BANDIPORA : The Deputy Commissioner/ District Election Officer Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman on Tuesday conducted a detailed review of preparedness for the forthcoming General Election to Lok Sabha 2024.

Day 5 of DA-JGUA witnesses enthusiastic participation at Satrina, Kangan

The meeting discussed various election related matters that include Transport Plan, SVEEP, status of Assured Minimum Facilities at polling stations, status of Model Polling Stations, establishment of Strong Room and DCRC.

The DC took stock of the establishment of the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee, Expenditure Monitoring Committee, Control Room, besides the Training of Manpower.

He laid emphasis on welfare and the facilitation of Poll Parties at DCRCs at all the 03 Assembly Segments. He also directed the authorities to ensure the availability of medical facilities for the manpower.

The meeting also discussed the special Area Plan for Assembly Segment Gurez, in case of any Inclement Weather and eventual Road Blockade.

It was informed in the meeting that General training has been provided to more than one thousand officials so far and more training programs have been devised at Assembly Level, to  thoroughly aware the Manpower to be deployed for Election.

The DC directed the AROs of all the 03 Assembly Segments to visit the designated locations for polling stations to ensure all the facilities are in place.

Shakeel ul Rehman, on the occasion, stressed on the concerned to follow ECI guidelines while performing Election related duties and ensure the smooth and efficient conduct of the Elections.

The meeting was attended by ADC Umar Shafi Pandit, ACR, DyDEO, SDM Sumbal, SDM Gurez, CMO, AD FCS&CA, DSWO, DTO, ExEn R&B and other Nodal Officers.
