ED is investigating a case against “Mahadev Online Book”, which is an umbrella syndicate arranging online platforms for enabling illegal betting websites to enrol new users, create user IDs and launder money through a layered web of Benami bank accounts.

Addressing a public rally in Khairagarh, the Union Home Minister said, “If he (Bhupesh Baghel) says that today is Monday, then it is definitely not. Because he never speaks the truth. He took an oath on ‘Gangajal’ that he would ban liquor but rivers of alcohol are flowing today. He did Mahadev app corruption. The person who is known across the country by the Mahadev app… is Bhupesh Kaka. He spoke of opening the jute industry, but he didn’t. He promised to give Rs. 5000 per month to women, but he didn’t… There have been a lot of scams in this country but no scam was in the name of God.”

“Congress did 2G scam, CWG scam, Bofors scam, and submarine scam but no scam was named after God. Bhupesh Baghel did not even leave God. He did a scam worth Rs. 508 crore in the Mahadev app case. Keep the anger of Mahadev betting app in mind and press the lotus (BJP symbol) button with such force that the tremors are felt till Italy,” he said in a swipe at the Italian origin of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.

“I want to ask Bhupesh Kakka, that for the past 10 years, you were in government. There was the government of Sonia, Manmohan what you give to Chhattisgarh? PM Narendra Modi gave 3 lakh 20 thousand crore rupees to Chhattisgarh. Infrastructure work was done for Rs 72000 crore, roads were built for Rs 25000 crore, and Rs 45000 crore was allotted to Railways. 38 lakh people received the benefits of ‘PM Kisan’. Tap water reached in the houses of around 40 lakh poor in Chhattisgarh,” Shah added.

“Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge is claiming the Constitution will be changed if Modi becomes PM again and the party’s functionaries allege BJP will end reservations after coming to power,” Shah said.

“Whether the reservation is for tribals, Dalits or backward communities… BJP will not end reservation and if Congress wants to end reservation, we will not let them do so,” he asserted.

He further said that Congress ruled for decades, but there was no Ministry of Tribal Welfare.

“Atal ji created the Ministry of Tribal Welfare and Modi ji worked to protect water, forests and land along with providing security, respect and inclusive development. The Modi government gave respect to the tribals by making Draupadi Murmu the President,” he said.

He further said that PM Modi has strengthened the country and safeguarded it from terrorism adding that the NDA government in its 10-year rule had eliminated Naxalism.
“Modi Ji has eradicated Naxalism from the entire country. Only a tail of it is left in Chhattisgarh and I assure you that if Modi Ji is given a third term… in three years we will completely eradicate Naxalism from Chhattisgarh,” he said.

He further said that in the greed for the vote bank Congress party had been holding on to Article 370 for many years.

“Congress says what do Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan have to do with Kashmir. But they do not know that the youth here are ready to sacrifice their lives for Kashmir. The Congress party had been holding on to Article 370 for so many years in greed for the vote bank. Modi ji abolished Article 370 on 5 August 2019 and made Kashmir an integral part of India,” he said.

Highlighting BJP government accomplishments, Shah said that the Central government provided gas cylinders to women and houses under PM Awas Yojana.

“Modi ji worked to provide gas cylinders to women under the Ujjwala Yojana. Worked to provide the roof under PM Awas Yojana. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, work was done to provide tap water to every house. Under the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, 5 kg of free food grains are being given to the poor and this will continue for the next 5 years,” he added.

“Modi ji has done a lot of work for the welfare of farmers. During the Congress rule (2013-14), the budget for farmers was only 22 thousand crores. Modi ji increased it to 1 lakh 25 thousand crores. Modi government worked to give 6 thousand rupees annually to the farmers under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi,” he said.

He further recalled the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla adding that after 500 years, Ramlala will celebrate his birthday on April 17 in his temple.

“In 2019, you again formed Modi Ji’s government. On 22 January, Modi Ji performed the Pran Pratishtha of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya and built the grand temple. Today, lakhs of people are reaching Ayodhya daily to have the darshan of Ram Lalla. The 17th is Lord Ram’s birthday, Ramnavami. For the first time after 500 years, Ramlala will celebrate his birthday in his temple,” he added.

He further said that today is Ambedkar Jayanti and the whole country remembers him adding that his contribution to the Dalits, backward, tribals and poor of this country can never be forgotten.

“Today is Ambedkar Jayanti, today the whole country remembers Ambedkar ji, the creator of our Constitution. His contribution to the Dalits, backward, tribals and poor of this country can never be forgotten. But the Congress party does not refrain from lying even today,” he added.

The BJP, which has a stronghold in Chhattisgarh, won 9 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha, while the Indian National Congress (INC) was limited to only 2 seats.

The 11 parliamentary constituencies of Chhattisgarh will go to Lok Sabha polls in three phases; April 19, 26 and May 7. The counting of votes will be done on June 4.
