Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum convened a meeting at its head office in Srinagar, presided over by Chairman Mohd Amin Khan and Vice President AISTF. The meeting saw the induction of new members into both the provincial and central executive bodies.
Various pressing matters were deliberated upon during the session, including the promotion of eligible teachers to Masters, delays in the supply of free textbooks, and the need to fill vacant positions of principals, lecturers, ZEOs, Head Masters, and Masters.
Additionally, discussions centered around the conversion of eligible G3 teachers to G2, confirmation of lecturers and Headmasters, and the timely release of MDM ingredient charges, among other issues.
District presidents were instructed to diligently address teachers’ legitimate concerns and to ensure the visibility of their district bodies through print and electronic media. Teachers were advised to channel their grievances through zonal and district presidents for proper redressal.
Furthermore, the executive body saw the induction of Hilal Ahmad Bhat from Budgam as Provincial Joint Secretary and Bashir Ahmed Padder as State Joint Secretary, with more replacements and inductions anticipated in the near future.
The meeting was attended by key figures including Vice Chairman Showkat Ali Baigh, General Secretary Shabir Ahmad Bhat, and Chief Organiser Gh Ahmad Mir, among others. Some notable portfolio holders were absent due to election-related duties.
For the enhancement of the JK Teachers Forum, it was decided that the announcement of its executive and general council would be made shortly.
