GDC Ganderbal conducts Cleanliness Drive

GANDERBAL : To foster community engagement and promote the values of cleanliness and hygiene, the National Service Scheme (NSS) and NCC units of Govt. Degree College Ganderbal organized cleanliness drive in college campus.
The initiative witnessed active participation of volunteers, students and faculty members as well. The event comprised various activities viz. cleanliness and sanitation awareness sessions, waste collection and disposal and beautification of public spaces.
On the occasion, volunteers gathered at GDC Ganderbal to take part in an informative session on the significance of cleanliness and its impact on overall well-being. This was followed by a collective effort to clean and sanitize the college’s premises by all the participants.
The drive witnessed an energetic group assembling in the college to extend the scope of the cleanliness drive. The participants collaborated to clean up the vicinity, removing debris, and focusing on waste segregation to ensure effective disposal.
Prof Fouzia Fatima, principal of the college while inspecting the activity, interacted with the students and faculty members and expressed her gratitude towards the enthusiastic participation of all the volunteers and participants. She emphasized the importance of community-driven initiatives in creating lasting and positive impacts on the environment and society.
Prof Mansoor Ahmad Lone, coordinator of NCC and Dr Fayaz Ahmad Ahanger, programme Officer of NSS played a valuable role in making the drive successful.
The event concluded on a high note, with participants pledging to continue maintaining the cleanliness of their surroundings and spreading awareness about hygiene practices.
