DC reviews CSS- Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS)

Kupwara : In order to review the progress on implementation of Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in the district, a meeting was held under the Chairpersonship of the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan here at Mini-Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.

At the outset, the District Development Commissioner emphasized upon the officers of line departments for proper coordination and synergy so that all departmental ROWs, especially road ROWs and other technical issues are resolved and delay in execution of this important scheme is avoided.

The District development Commissioner said that concerned Executive Engineer PDD will take up all road ROW issues with Executive engineer R&B, PMGSY and PHE well in advance and get the issues resolved and all the damages will be met by the PDD. ADDC Kupwara has been instructed to supervise the departmental ROW issues as District Nodal Officer.

DDC directed R&B and other concerned departments to provide power corridor to NTPC (executing agency), so that scheme is hassle free execution in the district.

DDC termed the RDDS a game changer and said that the scheme has been launched with an objective to modernize and augment the power infrastructure by Improving Quality, Reliability & Affordability of power supply to consumers, besides enhancing financial sustainability of Power Distribution Companies (DISCOMS).
DC took a Division wise review about the progress achieved under the RDSS and other measures. On the occasion, the chair was apprised that as many as 904, ST-Poles have been erected in Kupwara under RDSS.

While reviewing the progress on implementation of RDDS in the District, the District Development Commissioner enjoined upon the Officers to further gear up the men and machinery by undertaking different components of the activities in a parallel mode while implementing the RDDS in all the Electric Divisions of the District.
