DC Kupwara visits border area Machill, reviews developmental works, hears issues of people

KUPWARA : Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Aysuhi Sudan today took an extensive tour of border area Machill to take stock of ongoing developmental works and to know the grievances and problems of the people living in the far flung area.

On her arrival, the Deputy Commissioner chaired a joint interactive cum review meeting of District/Sectoral Officers and local People at Meeting Hall of Mini Secretariat Machill. Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Mohd Rouf Rehman, ACD, CPO, CEO were also present in the meeting among others.
Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the District Administration is committed for equitable development of all areas of the district including border areas like Machill. She stressed upon the officers to ensure completion of all ongoing developmental works within the stipulated timeframe. She asked them to take benefit of the present fair weather conditions by intensifying the pace of works which shall benefit the whole area.
The Deputy Commissioner impressed upon the district officers to ensure presence of their field staff in Machill area so that people do not face any inconvenience in getting the services well in time.
Meanwhile, people including youth and senior citizens present there, apprised the chair about various developmental issues of the Machill area. The Deputy Commissioner heard their issues patiently and passed on immediate directions to the concerned officers for redressal of the issues raised.
On the demand of the people, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officer for deployment of Aadhaar team to Machill for completion of e-KYC of the beneficiaries so that they receive benefits under different government schemes uninterruptedly.
Regarding education, the Deputy Commissioner asked the CEO to provide the necessary teaching staff wherever required in Machill schools so that the students do not suffer.
To ensure cleanliness, it was given out in the meeting that dustbins shall be provided by the Panchayats to schools and installed in the market to keep the Machill green and garbage free.
Reviewing RDD, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure execution of all ongoing works and ensure there completion within the given timeframe.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited several villages of Machill tehsil and inspected the progress of ongoing developmental projects. She also heard various public deputations during the visit.
