District Summer Camp organized at Borihalan, Shopian

SHOPIAN : The District Summer Camp was today organized at Borihalan Shopian under the guidance of Chief Education Officer Shopian and with the support of the Cultural Wing of the Chief Education Office Shopian.
The camp commenced with great enthusiasm at the Borihalan Eco-Park, and witnessed active participation from both government and private schools across the district.
The summer camp aimed to instill a sense of responsibility towards environmental conservation and sustainability among students. Various activities were organized to engage and educate the young minds on these critical issues.
The highlights of the event included painting competition, essay writing competition, model exhibition, cleanliness drives, interaction programme and sports activities.
In the Painting Competition, students showcased their artistic skills and expressed their views on environmental conservation through vibrant and thoughtful paintings.
Similarly, in Essay Writing Competition participants penned down insightful essays, reflecting their understanding and commitment to preserving the environment.
Also in the Model Exhibition, innovative models related to eco-friendly practices and sustainable developments were displayed, highlighting the creativity and awareness of the students.
During Cleanliness Drives, emphasis was laid on the importance of a clean environment; students actively participated in cleanliness drives, promoting the message of ‘Clean and Green.’
Further under the Interaction Programme, an interactive session was held where students discussed various environmental issues and shared their ideas on sustainable living.
Under the Sports Activities programme, various sports activities were conducted, fostering teamwork and emphasizing the significance of a healthy lifestyle in harmony with nature.
The Chief Education Officer, M Shabir expressed his delight over the enthusiastic participation of students and emphasized the importance of such events in nurturing environmentally conscious citizens. He appreciated the efforts of the Cultural Wing and all the participating schools for their dedication towards this noble cause.
The District Summer Camp Eco-Club at Borihalan Eco-Park stands as a testament to the collective effort of the educational community in Shopian towards building a sustainable future.
