Kupwara : In a move to enhance the quality of education at high and higher secondary levels, the government has decided to hire qualified youth as Cluster Resource Coordinators (CRCs) on a contract basis.
This initiative, aimed at addressing the staff deficiency at higher secondary schools, has been warmly welcomed by the Teachers Forum and its leadership.
M. Amin Khan, Chairman of the Teachers Forum and National Vice President of the All India Secondary Teachers Federation (AISTF), praised the decision of the School Education Department.
Khan highlighted that engaging highly qualified youth for these positions will allow current teachers at higher secondary schools to return to their primary and elementary school assignments. “This process ensures that we will not face a shortage of teachers for foundational and preparatory stages at the primary and elementary levels,” he stated.
The Teachers Forum expressed its gratitude to several key figures for their roles in this initiative. They include Chief Secretary Shri Atal Dullo, Principal Secretary of the School Education Department (SED) Shri Alok Kumar, Additional Secretary of SED Gh Nabi Bhat, and Directors of School Education in Srinagar and Jammu.
Khan highlighted the visionary leadership of Principal Secretary Alok Kumar, expressing confidence that the hiring process will be completed efficiently and on merit.
Khan also called for the prompt resolution of legitimate issues facing the teaching community. He urged the Principal Secretary to address these concerns swiftly to ensure the continued improvement of the educational landscape.
This initiative is expected to bolster the teaching force at higher secondary schools while ensuring adequate staffing at the foundational levels, ultimately benefiting students across the district.
