Kupwara : Chemists and Drug Distributors Association of Kupwara organized a program to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The event witnessed active participation ml from health officials including Assistant Drugs Controller Kupwara, Dr. Zaffar Ahmad Bhat, Drugs Control Officer Kupwara, Yousuf Mohidin, and Drugs Control Officer Baramulla, Gowher Mushtaq.
The program was aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of combating illicit drug trafficking.
Dr. Zaffar Ahmad Bhat highlighted the important role that chemists play in preventing drug misuse by ensuring that medications are dispensed responsibly and only to those with valid prescriptions.
Yousuf Mohidin and Gowher Mushtaq further highlighted the legal and ethical responsibilities of chemists and drug distributors in curbing drug abuse.
In a concerted effort to educate the community, the officials delivered an awareness message to all the chemists present, stressing the significance of vigilance and adherence to regulations. The event concluded with a call to action for all stakeholders to work together in the fight against drug abuse, ensuring a healthier and safer society for all.
