The border areas of Kupwara have seen a rise in tourism, giving the residents more options for making a living. Residents of Teethwal, Keran, Machil, Jumgund, Kumkadi, and other nearby communities have experienced peace as a result of the calmness along the Line of Control (LoC). Numerous local and foreign tourists visit Keran, Machil, Teethwal, and Bangus Valley round the year, making these locations top-tier travel attractions. Tourists can spend the night in these regions since the administration has registered the homes of various people under the “Home Stay” project. Youth from different areas have been given first aid training from the instructors of Indian Red Cross Society, Kupwara unit so that in case of any eventuality to tourists, they could be given primary treatment. The people living in Kupwara’s border areas wish for the ceaseless calm along the Line of Control (LoC) to usher in a new era of development in the region.
